Thurstober Digital Studios Partners with Algorand Foundation for Engagement Events Phase 2!

Crosschain Collaboration
With TDS’s expansion to the XRP Ledger, came the ability to host collaboration racing events with XRPL Collections. Now creators and collectors from The Ledger can race alongside Algorand based series. With our recent update to the collaboration racing format, we intend on becoming a stomping grounds where creators and collectors can discover new projects in a fun and competitive format.
This new initiative is aimed to help bring collectors from other chains to Algorand. To claim the prize, a collector would need to download and use and Algorand based wallet.
Each series will be marked with their own special emoji and the winning asset is flexed. There will be a minimum race requirement to qualify for prizes, and there will also be prizes for the racers with the most Wins, Deds, and $OATS Earned.
Engagement Events Background
TDS teamed up with the Algorand Foundation in December 2022 for a pilot program. We received 5,000A to distribute to racers who were selected based on a minimum race requirement. The pilot was proven to be successful and extended to other projects across the Algorand Ecosystem.
When discussing renewing the pilot, TDS and the Algorand Foundation both had increasing reach to crosschain collectors as a top priority. While the raceable assets can exist on chains outside of Algorand, our utility token $OATS will remain Algorand only. The unique and permissionless nature of Algorand Standard Assets allows for a frictionless user experience. These boosted engagement rewards will help swell the high tide of the TDS vision.
History
21 months ago, we launched Thursholderbot which allowed horse holders to enter races against each other at any time. Once entered, a horse would wait for the next person to enter and start. A random dice set would roll and the horses would go either forwards or backwards depending on the roll. Once a horse crossed 15 forward spaces, they won and were awarded $OATS in our easy-going, no-loss environment. Our social game was born.
Since then, we have added a suite of features including: win multipliers, jackpots, bonuses, and staking. We introduced the Thurstober Racing League, which allows holders of 5+ Horses to race against each other and then fight it out for TRL Champion. With the continuity of racing and the social leagues, players from around the world were able to connect with each other through Humor, Art, Technology, and Entertainment.
In October of 2022, we introduced Collaboration Racing. This allowed assets from other series to race alongside the horses for limited time periods. To date, we have enabled over 45,000 assets from 31 series.
