Thurstober Digital Studios Announces 4-Way Partnership for Algorand Onboarding

Background

Xertificate is a new project on Algorand that aims to combat this certificate fraud by issuing digital certificates with permanent proof of ownership, backed by blockchain. Using The Laboratory by Thurstober Digital Studios, Xertificate is able to mint digital certificates for people attending in-person events and for completing training programs.

To date, Xertificate has onboarded over 8 different Non-Profits, Academies, and NGOs to start issuing digital certificates for, while also attending in-person events to extend the brand and use case.

Expanding the Partnership

Due to the opt in friction based on the ASA on Algorand, a user would need to download a wallet app, get Algorand to cover the 0.1A minimum balance requirement (MBR), and opt into the asset.

In explaining this onboarding friction with Joana Lacerda from the Algorand Foundation, GoPlausible was suggested as a distribution platform. GoPlausible allows for the distribution of ASAs to help creators, developers, owners, and users to distribute proofs, tokens, and NFTs in a more frictionless manner.

For this 4-Way Partnership, the Algorand Foundation will be providing 1,500A to GoPlausible, which will cover the fees for 1,000 new users onboarded by Xertificate. Thurstober Digital Studios will be a strategic partner to help Xertificate mint the digital certificates and coordinate between the parties involved.

Conclusion

With this 4-Way Partnership, we hope to help promote the Algorand Blockchain to users that are not currently aware of the capabilities of this powerful technology. Digital assets provide a unique medium for authentification and by show casing how easy it is to onboard using GoPlausible, we hope to bring in more active users to help lift the tide of the entire ecosystem.
